Bavarian-style open-air seminars!

The sun is shining, the temperatures are pleasantly warm, who wouldn't want to be outside? Why not make more out of a conference and simply move it outside when the weather is nice? We'll show you how to do this the Bavarian way and get more out of your event.

Fresh air is healthy!

People spend around eight hours a day at work. Fresh air and sufficient oxygen are particularly important here. In an enclosed space, every breath is converted into carbon dioxide and makes us tired quickly when there is a lack of ventilation. In a room filled with conference participants, oxygen quickly becomes scarce and yawns start after just one to two hours. Perhaps you've experienced it yourself at large indoor events, where one or the other has even sunk into deep sleep. And who wants something like that at their event? So open windows and let fresh air in.

Daylight ensures productivity

When it is dark, the body automatically switches to sleep mode. That is why, in addition to air quality, light quality also plays a decisive role in the productivity of conference participants. Anyone who works a lot in artificial light is more likely to suffer from headaches and their concentration decreases radically. Daylight, on the other hand, regulates circulation and metabolism. In addition, it has an influence on the production of the hormone serotonin, which controls a person's day-night rhythm and ensures a sense of well-being.

Increase productivity and create a positive meeting atmosphere

If you don't want tired conference participants, you can of course ensure regular ventilation of the rooms and also select conference hotels that have rooms with daylight. However, it would be better to incorporate fresh air directly into the conference concept. This is all the easier when you have a conference hotel with plenty of natural space. Anyone who comes to the Hotel am Badersee in the Zugspitze village of Grainau has chosen our hotel not only because of the fantastic conference rooms, but also because of its quiet, natural location, surrounded by greenery and great views of the mountains.

Bavarian-style open-air seminars

We love the beer garden in Bavaria. This is where you meet friends and colleagues, exchange ideas and learn new things. You also want such a relaxed and interactive atmosphere at an event, right? So why not organize a seminar in the beer garden, in the traditional way with a beer table set. Our beer garden in front of the Seestüberl is ideally located for the conference atrium and can accommodate up to 32 people. Flipcharts and bulletin boards can be provided. And if you like something very traditional, you can order Bavarian delicacies during break time if you wish.

Brainstorming in the gondola

The gondola normally takes you up into the mountains. However, our gondola is right on Lake Badersee and serves as an “outdoor” creative space for special flights of fancy. The original Zugspitze gondola is our “brainstorming” room. It is not only the room itself that provides inspiration and inspiration, but also the magnificent view of the Zugspitze. The window panes of the gondola serve as a work surface. Fresh air is also guaranteed, as is plenty of freedom of movement, as our gondola is occupied by a maximum of 8-10 people and the doors can be opened at any time.

Butt up and out in the open!

If you want to achieve maximum productivity and motivation among conference participants, ensure exercise during the seminar. Even a short walk in the forest can do wonders and is easy as group work (Walk & Talk) organize. Some hiking routes start directly from the hotel and can be timed very well. A Walk & Talk is of course particularly recommended after lunch, as the general tiredness of the midday disappears in no time at all.

Traditional conference setups, just outside!

If the beer garden, gondola or Walk & Talk don't quite fit into the meeting schedule, you don't have to miss out on fresh air and you don't just have to live in the meeting room with the windows open. Our courtyard in front of the conference atrium can also be used for classic conference formats, e.g. U-shape, parliamentary or block, but a World Café and Fishbowl set-up are also easy to implement. Otherwise, the existing sitting areas are simply ideal for smaller group work in the open air. As you can see, anything is possible.
